justice. However, among students, legal awareness is often still low, as reflected in various
deviant behaviors such as disciplinary violations, bullying, and misuse of social media. This
study aims to examine the effectiveness of legal counseling activities in increasing students’
legal understanding and awareness at MAN 5 Pidie. The method involved educational
approaches through interactive lectures, case studies, and group discussions. The results
indicate that legal counseling has a positive impact on enhancing students’ legal knowledge, as
seen in attitude changes, improved discipline, and greater awareness of rules and social norms.
Furthermore, active involvement of teachers and the use of contextual methods were key to the
success of the activity. Based on these findings, it is recommended that legal education be
integrated into the school curriculum on a sustainable basis, supported by engaging
educational media and student involvement as change agents. Early legal education proves to
be a strategic effort in shaping a legally aware and socially responsible young generation.

PENGABDIAN BERBASIS KONSERVASI: PENANAMAN POHON SEBAGAI UPAYA MITIGASI ABRASI PANTAI

Coastal abrasion is an increasingly alarming environmental issue in Indonesia's coastal areas.
Its impact not only damages ecosystems but also threatens the social and economic livelihoods
of local communities. This community service activity, conducted in February 2025 at Kaju
Beach, aimed to mitigate abrasion through the planting of beach pine and mangrove trees. The
program involved lecturers, students, and local residents through a participatory and
educational approach. The implementation included site surveys, environmental education, tree
planting, and initial monitoring. Results indicated that collaborative approaches enhanced
environmental awareness, strengthened social cohesion, and fostered a sense of ownership
among the community regarding coastal ecosystems. Beyond ecological benefits, the activity
also opened opportunities for conservation-based local economic development, such as
community-based ecotourism. Program sustainability was encouraged through the formation of
local management groups and the potential replication of the model in other coastal areas. This
initiative is expected to serve as a best-practice example in participatory conservation efforts
that integrate education, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment in a
sustainable manner.

KETERLIBATAN MAHASISWA SEBAGAI AGEN PENGGERAK DALAM EVENT MEGA OFF VOCATIONAL BUSINESS COMPETITION

The implementation of community service through the Mega Off Vocational Business Competition
(VBC) serves as a strategic platform to support the achievement of learning outcomes in an
Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum. Students of the Public Sector Accounting Study
Program actively participated as organizers and participants in various activities, including
accounting olympiads, badminton, football, volleyball, and tug-of-war. This involvement enhances
essential soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, time management, and effective communication
competencies that are highly relevant in today’s professional landscape. Moreover, the event
provides students with hands-on experience in event management, character building, and the
internalization of professional ethics. The findings suggest that experiential learning approaches in
non-academic activities significantly contribute to students’ preparedness for future professional
challenges.

PERAN DOSEN DALAM MENDAMPINGI MAHASISWA MELAKSANAKAN KEGIATAN SOSIAL DI MASYARAKAT

The social activities conducted in Gampong Deah Ujong Baroh reflect a practical implementation of student community engagement. Various participatory activities were carried out, including teaching at religious schools, cleaning public facilities, and supporting the organization of the village-level Qur’an Recitation Competition (MTQ). These programs were developed based on field observations and community deliberations to ensure relevance and responsiveness to local needs. Active involvement of village residents in both planning and execution phases demonstrates the effectiveness of a community-based collaborative approach. Tangible outcomes include increased learning enthusiasm among children, enhanced communal awareness of environmental hygiene, and revived participation in religious activities. The strategic role of supervising lecturers serving as both academic mentors and problem-solving facilitators significantly contributed to the program’s success. For students, this initiative provided experiential learning opportunities that connected academic theories with real-world practice. They improved their social communication skills, developed participatory leadership, and gained sensitivity to local socio-cultural dynamics. The synergy between students, community members, and academic mentors proved vital to the program’s impact and opened prospects for sustainable development rooted in local potential.

PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI KEGIATAN BAKTI SOSIAL RAMADHAN: UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEPEDULIAN SOSIAL DAN KUALITAS IBADAH DI BULAN SUCI

The Ramadhan social service activity is a concrete implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service. This program was conducted by lecturers and students of STIS Al-Hilal Sigli through the distribution of food packages, donations for orphans, communal iftar events, and religious lectures in several areas within Pidie Regency during the holy month of Ramadhan 1445 H/2024 AD. The aim was to support underprivileged communities, strengthen social bonds, and instill values of empathy and social responsibility among students. The implementation method included planning, fundraising, execution of activities, and evaluation. The results showed a positive response from the community and provided students with valuable experiences in character building and social engagement. This activity successfully fostered collaboration between academia and the community while reinforcing the role of higher education institutions in promoting Islamic-based social development.
